Google Feed renamed to Discover, will now appear on Google’s mobile homepage

Google is starting the week with some major news about the Google Feed.

Google is renaming its feed to Discover and giving it some new features to go with the new branding. New topic headers will help you better understand why something has appeared in your Discover feed, and tapping on a topic will show you more about it and let you follow it so that more stories will appear in your Discover feed in the future.

More updates related to content are coming with Discover, including more videos and fresh visual content. Google will show you evergreen content in your feed, too, including articles and videos that aren’t new to the web but are new and relevant to you.

There are some updated controls coming with Discover as well, like a control icon in the lower right corner of a card that’ll let you control whether you see more or less on a certain topic. Discover can show content in multiple languages, too, like if you prefer to read recipes in Spanish but read news in English. This language feature only supports Spanish and English in the U.S. to start, but it’ll expand to more languages and countries soon.

Discover is also making its way to the Google homepage on mobile. This way you can check out Discover and all of its new features any time you visit google.com on your phone.

Google’s Discover is a major update to the feed that’ll make it feel more modern with more videos and visual content while also giving you way more control over what you see. All in all, this sounds like a pretty great update to Google’s feed, which is something many people use every day to stay informed about the world around them.
