Google Pixel 2 passes through FCC, hints at features like Active Edge
We already know most of the details about the upcoming Google Pixel 2 thanks to numerous leaks, but a new FCC filing gives us some definitive details that may interest people who want the device.
Thanks to HTC’s filing, we see that the “Languages & input” menu has been changed to “Languages, input & gestures” to accommodate Active Edge. This is HTC’s squeeze feature previously used on the U11, which should open Google Assistant on this device.
Other details include 64GB of storage, a sign of a Snapdragon 835 (thanks to the mention of the WCN3990 WiFi chip, which is compatible with the 835 and the 660), and an Android version of 8.0.1 with an August security patch, which should be the final software version considering the Developer Preview 4 is 8.0.0.
