Despicable Me Minion Rush updated with new levels

If you have seen either of the Despicable Me movies, you should be familiar with the minions. These little capsule shaped people are yellow and always doing something crazy. Game developer Gameloft has announced a new update for the Despicable Me Minion Rush game.

The game update brings a host of minor bug fixes. The biggest things to land in the new update are new areas to play. Players will get to run through Volcano Island from Despicable Me 2 complete with an active volcano.

Another new area in the update is a new Jelly Lab on Volcano Island. A new secret area is also available inside the volcano. Players can also play using a new costume called Boxer Minion.

Along with the bug fixes and new areas, the update also brings optimizations overall to make the game perform better. Gameloft specifically fixed the ability to claim event rewards, updated achievements, and progress claim screens. The ability to compete in random challenges has also been fixed.
