PayPal Here updated to support Android tablets

Several applications out there are designed to allow business owners to take credit card payments while they are out of the office and on the go. One of those applications is PayPal Here and it is designed to work with the PayPal card reader.

PayPal Here uses an encrypted credit card reader that is backed by the PayPal fraud and risk management features. One of the biggest features of the newly updated app is that Android tablet users can now take payments using the app and card reader.

PayPal has verified that several tablets work with the card reader including the Asus Nexus 7 2013, Asus Nexus 10, Asus Transformer Pad TF300T, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Tab 2 7, Galaxy Tab 2 10, Galaxy Tab 3 10, Galaxy Tab 4 7, Galaxy Tab 4 10, Galaxy Tab Pro, and Sony Xperia Z tablet.

The app update landed this week and brings the app to version 2.3.0. Android 2.3.3 or higher is required. Google Play estimates that PayPal Here has been installed up to 5 million times.
