[Bonus Round] Rogue: Beyond The Shadows, Scrap Tank, And Dawn of the Plow
Welcome to the latest entry in our Bonus Round series, wherein we tell you all about the new Android games of the day that we couldn't get to during our regular news rounds. Consider this a quick update for the dedicated gamers who can't wait for our bi-weekly roundups, and don't want to wade through a whole day's worth of news just to get their pixelated fix. Today we've got a sneaky dungeon crawler, a bullet-filled tank shooter, and a snowplow simulator that will fire you at the drop of a beanie. Without further ado:
Rogue: Beyond The Shadows
The titular rogue in Beyond the Shadows doesn't really fit the classical mold - he'll dungeon crawl with the best of them, utilizing magic and big weapons when appropriate. But he also gets his sneak on in at least a few levels, creeping up behind bad guys for a one hit kill. There is no shortage of dungeon crawlers on Android, but this one includes extra missions designed by the game's forum members. The core game is free with ads, which can be removed with a $2 in-app purchase.

You have lived all your life in the same town and known each of your neighbors for many years... But one day you wake up suddenly in the middle of the forest, alone, lost, and confused. When you return to your hometown, nobody remembers who you are. Something terrible has happened, and your adventure has just begun. Explore a fantasy world full of magic, goblins, skeletons, lizards, gnolls, necromancers, golems... and many more.
Scrap Tank
Scrap Tank is an interesting mix of a 2D shoot-em-up and an endless runner. You control a slow, lumbering tank that's constantly firing from its main canon, with only the angle of fire and speed of the treads to worry about. As you blast through endless waves of planes, missiles, and bosses, you'll earn upgrades to both your primary and secondary weapons. Impressive sprite art and a free price tag make this one worth a look, at least if you're onboard with currency-based IAP.

No rocket science, but plenty of rockets. In a world dominated by sinister robots, take control of the Scrap Tank and take the fight to them. Battle your way through the metal onslaught using an impressive array of hi-tech weapons. Do you have what it takes to survive against endless hordes of tanks, jets, airstrikes, missiles, helicopters and kamikaze bots?
Dawn of the Plow
With the southern states paralyzed by a "snowstorm" that the northern states would dance through, this little 2D game seems especially timely right about now. You drive a snowplow across a tiny grid, clearing a path for cars and trying to keep in control of your truck. The manager seems especially eager to fire you, so you'll need mastery of the top-down isometric controls to avoid trashing your neighbor's vehicles. Fans of 8-bit graphics and sound will be right at home.
