Macaulay Culkin is ‘Home Alone Again with the Google Assistant’ in newest ad

It’s the holiday season and companies are getting in on the fun. That includes Google, which is showing off its Google Home Hub and the Google Assistant in its latest ad.

This one goes above and beyond by including Macaulay Culkin, who famously played Kevin McCallister in the legendary Home Alone, which also happens to be the highest-grossing Christmas movie of all time. But now Culkin is all grown up, and Google enlisted his help in showcasing the power of Google home and the Assistant as Culkin is “Home Alone Again with the Google Assistant” in a new ad.

We get to see a modern day Kevin, all grown up himself, but while he has the house to himself yet again, he shows off what Assistant and Home Hub can do. The ad showcases things like adding an item to a list, lock a door, and turn on the lights.

Google is also adding some fun quotes from the film:

• “How much do I owe you?” and you’ll be reminded to “Keep the change, you filthy animal.”
• “Did I forget something?” and the famous “KEVINNNNNNNNNN” scream will play back.
• “It’s me Snakes. I got the stuff,” to recreate a back-and-forth dialogue from the movie Kevin watches, “Angels with Filthy Souls.”
• “The Wet Bandits are here” to trigger Kevin defending his house.
• “I’m the man of the house” to relive the famous scene when Kevin tries aftershave.
