Huawei rolling out EMUI 9.0

Huawei may be causing a bit of controversy, but that’s not stopping it from serving its customers. The Chinese tech giant has announced via Twitter that it’s beginning to roll out the EMUI 9.0 update to select devices. The update to EMUI 9.0 brings in a core software upgrade to Android 9.0 Pie. More than that, Huawei is claiming that system responsiveness is improved by 25.6%, along with increased app startup speeds and optimizations for gaming.

Huawei is starting the rollout with these devices:

• Mate 10 series
• P20 series
• Honor Play
• Honor View10
• Honor 10

While users won’t instantly receive the update, it should arrive within the next one to two weeks. Once it does arrive, you’ll want to have at least 4GB of storage available on your phone to download the new update before installing.
