Google Chromecast and Chromecast Ultra now available from Amazon

This time last year, Amazon said that it would begin selling the Google Chromecast again. Fast-forward almost exactly one year and the Chromecast has finally appeared on Amazon’s digital shelves.

The Chromecast and Chromecast Ultra are now available from Amazon. Pricing is set at $35 and $69, respectively, just like they’re priced at the Google Store, and both models are eligible for free two-day shipping for Amazon Prime members.

With Chromecast, you can stream content from your Android phone to your TV by plugging the device into an HDMI port. It’s supported by more than 2,000 apps, including Netflix, YouTube, and HBO Now. You can also mirror your laptop screen onto your TV using the Chrome browser. And with the Chromecast Ultra, you get 4K Ultra HD and HDR support.

The Chromecast and Chromecast Ultra have been available through other retailers for some time now, but it’s still nice to see them finally arrive on Amazon. Some folks like to do their shopping through Amazon, like if they’re a Prime member and get two-day shipping, and now they can buy Google’s Chromecast devices from Amazon just in time for the holidays.
