Fitbit OS 3.0 update adds apps and improved dashboard

Fitbit OS 3.0 is here and it’s bringing a whole host of improvements and plenty of new apps. First up is a new dashboard for the Fitbit Ionic (+ Ionic: adidas edition) and Fitbit Versa that will allow you to see more information at a glance. This data includes sleep info, water logs, weight tracking, and expanded exercise stats. You can also quickly log your weight or water intake right from your smartwatch.

The update is also bringing in 10 new apps including Couch to 5K, MySwimPro, achu health, and more. Plus, other new apps like MINDBODY and TRX are joining the selection in the near future. And the app selection should only keep improving as Fitbit has released a API developer tools that will enable complex applications to be built more efficiently. Fitbit is particularly touting that Female Health Tracking trends will be arriving in 2019, which will allow tracking of menstrual cycles and associated symptoms.

Which of Fitbit’s new features are you most excited about?
