Nokia 3.1 Plus announced with 6-inch display and Android Oreo

Earlier this month, Nokia and HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 7.1, and now the companies are back at it with yet another smartphone.

This one is the Nokia 3.1 Plus, and it’s heading to India this month. It features a 6-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. There is a MediaTek Helio P22 processor under the hood, with two variants that offer 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. Both models support a microSD card up to 400GB.

The Nokia 3.1 Plus features a pair of cameras on the back, the primary shooter being a 13MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The second camera is 5MP and has an f/2.2 aperture. Around the other side there is an 8MP front-facing camera. The battery measures in at 3500mAh, there is a USB-C port for charging, and a fingerprint sensor on the back of the handset. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack for good measure, and it’s an Android One phone running Android Oreo out of the box.

The Nokia 3.1 will retail for €159 and €179 for the 16GB and 32GB models, respectively and will be available in Blue, White, or Baltic color schemes.

This seems like a solid enough handset for someone who isn’t looking to spend a lot of money on a phone but doesn’t want to skimp on screen size and dual rear cameras.
