The Google Pixel Stand leaks out, looks simple enough

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be showcased on October 9, and it looks like Google is planning on launching a dedicated charging stand accessory for the handsets, too.

9to5Google has a new report out with an image of what is being called the Google Pixel Stand. As you have already probably guessed, this is a simple accessory that allows Pixel 3 smartphone owners to plug their device in and keep it in a portrait orientation while it charges.

There is an included animation with the original report, which shows that while the Pixel 3 is docked on the stand, there may be a slideshow feature that plays while the handset is charging. Otherwise, the dock looks pretty straight forward: a small circular shape, with what will probably be a USB-C plug on the top so that the phone can be physically connected to charge.

Not a lot to look at, but as long as Google doesn’t charge an am and a leg for it, might be a pretty good accessory for the desk.
