HMD Global to unveil the Nokia 7.1 Plus on October 4

October is typically a pretty busy month for smartphone unveilings, and this year is not going to be any different.

HMD Global, the smartphone manufacturer that’s been given the green light to put together Nokia-branded devices, has just announced it will be hosting its own event on Thursday, October 4. The invitation itself is pretty minimal, inviting folks to an event in London that will start at 5:00pm local time. Other than that, there isn’t much else to go on.

However, the folks over at MySmartPrice have a first look at what is probably going to be the device that Nokia and HMD Global officially unveil. The report says that the Nokia 7.1 Plus will feature minimized bezels, but there will be a chin on the bottom of the display and a notch at the top. There will be a pair of cameras on the back for good measure.

The display is said to measure in at 5.7 or 5.8 inches, and there will be a USB-C port for charging. Unfortunately we don’t have much else to go on, but the rumor mill will likely rectify that soon enough.

Will you be in the market for a new Nokia smartphone once October rolls around?
