Samsung Galaxy Note 9 earns DisplayMate’s award for best-performing smartphone screen

Way back in August of last year, you might remember that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 earned DisplayMate’s highest ever A+ grade for its OLED display. Well, Samsung’s back at it again this year.

The Galaxy Note 9 was just announced last week, and the smartphone has already started earning its accolades. Testing performed by DisplayMate has revealed that the upcoming phablet has an amazing display. It’s so good, in fact, that it has earned DisplayMate’s A+ grade and is the best-performing display the group has tested to date.

The tests show that the Galaxy Note 9 “matches or sets many new Smartphone Display Performance Records”, and notes that the phablet’s color accuracy is “visually indistinguishable from perfect”. The “Absolute Picture Quality” was also improved over the Galaxy Note 8 from last year.

The Galaxy Note 9 also has the lowest Screen Reflectance, at just 4.4 percent.

• Record Setting Galaxy Note9 matches or sets many new Smartphone Display Performance Records, earning DisplayMate’s highest ever A+ grade.

It is probably great to see that Samsung has another great display in an upcoming smartphone, especially if you plan on picking one up. This is the result we all expect at this point, considering Samsung’s lead in the display tech market.
