Google Home Max now on sale from Google Store and Verizon

Before November wrapped up, a rumor suggested that Google’s newest smart speaker, the Google Home Max, would launch on December 11.

Turns out that is indeed the case, because you can now buy a Google Home Max from Verizon Wireless, Best Buy, and the Google Store. Other retailers are sure to jump on board soon.

The Google Home Max is a smart speaker that puts a focus on audio quality with a pair of custom tweeters and dual 4.5-inch woofers. The Smart Sound feature will automatically scan the room to offer up the best possible sound based on the area it is placed, and it supports streaming music from platforms like YouTube Music, Spotify, and Pandora.

Verizon, Best Buy, and the Google Store are selling the Home Max for $399.99. Best Buy and the Google Store have both the chalk (white) and charcoal (black) options available, but Verizon only has the chalk option right now.

The Home Max is pretty pricey, but if it sounds as good as Google advertised it might be worth it for those who primarily want to stream music and other content from the hardware.

Do you plan on picking one up?
