Google will show pollen forecasts in search results

For anyone that has to deal with pollen allergies, Google wants to give you a clear idea what it’s going to be like when you go outside.

Google is rolling out a pollen forecast and index in its search results. The results that Google is showing is pulled from information gathered by The Weather Channel and it shows a five-day forecast to give folks a clear look at the immediate future.

On top of that, Google also says people can turn on notifications within the Google app if they want to be informed when the pollen index is particularly high. Just search for pollen forecast or pollen levels and then, when prompted to receive notifications, just switch it on.

This is definitely a nice addition, especially for those who suffer from bad allergies thanks to pollen. Being able to keep track and even see how it might look in the next few days could come in handy, especially if you’re planning a trip.
