You can now reply to Instagram Stories with photos and videos

Quickly sharing a photo or video back-and-forth with friends and family members is all the rage these days, and Instagram wants to make sure that replying to Stories doesn’t miss the bandwagon.

Today Instagram officially announced that users can reply to Stories with a photo, video, or a Boomerang, and they’ll also be able to reply to a story with the standard text content, too. There is a new camera icon that’s located next to the text entry box when you receive a story. Tapping on it will bring up the camera, where users can either record a reply or snap a photo.

Users can spice up their video or photo reply just like they were sending their own story, which means they can use face filters, stickers, hashtags, and more. When replying with a photo or video, Instagram will also include a still of the story they are replying to, which can be repositioned as the replier sees fit.

The latest update to Instagram is now available for both Android and iOS users, so keep an eye out.

How often do you use Instagram?
