Samsung Galaxy Note 8 render leak reveals a big screen and minimal bezels
If a set of new leaked renders are any indicator, then the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is going to be a combination of the Galaxy Note 7 and the Galaxy S8, all in a good way.
BGR let loose a series of new renders of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8, showcasing the handset from all of its angles. These aren’t official images from Samsung, but instead are mockups developed by a case manufacturer that has allegedly seen genuine factory schematics.
The box-like design of the Galaxy Note 7 is still here, but the curved edges and minimal bezels at the top and bottom are brought over from the Galaxy S8. There isn’t a physical Home button up front on this handset, either, so the S8′s onscreen buttons will be present. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a USB-C port and a slot for the S Pen, which is everything we’d expect from the Galaxy Note 8.
Samsung will be changing things up, though, with a pair of cameras on the back. The fingerprint reader is positioned up by the cameras again, for better or worse.
This leak does seem like a safe bet, as far as the design of the upcoming flagship phablet is concerned. Still, anything’s possible, and the real thing may look different in some ways. We don’t have long to wait to find out, though, as Samsung has already confirmed it’ll announce the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23.
