Alcatel Pulsemix for Cricket Wireless features Snapbak cover accessories
If you’re on Cricket Wireless and are in the market for a new smartphone, Alcatel has you covered.
The Alcatel Pulsemix has been officially announced, and it will go on sale beginning July 21. When it does go live, you’ll be able to pick it up for $79.99 if you’re a Cricket subscriber and activate it on a smartphone plan. If you port your number in from another carrier and activate the Pulsemix on a smartphone plan, though, it’ll cost only $29.99.
As far as the specifications go, the Pulsemix features a 5.2-inch 720p HD display, an 8MP camera on the back with dual-tone flash, and a 2MP front-facing camera that has its own LED flash. It’s running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and there’s a quad-core MediaTek 6738 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot, and a 2800mAh battery. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and supports Bluetooth 4.2.
The Pulsemix offers support for what Alcatel calls “Snapbak” back covers, which offer some customization and new features. That includes adding an external speaker to the device and an extended battery. Here are the options that’ll be available at launch:
- LightUp Snapbak – Grab the spotlight wherever you are! With the LightUp Snapbak, customizable, multicolor, flashing LED lights illuminate with incoming calls, messages, e-mails, snaps, likes and mentions. Plus, pick a pattern or customize it to match your favorite color when playing music, playing games, attending a concert or just having fun.
- Sound Snapbak – Become the life of the party and transform your Pulsemix into a portable entertainment system with the Sound Snapbak. Get powerful and crisp high quality stereo sound from two 2.5 watt speakers.
