Verizon announces pre-orders for LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, availibility of LG K4 LTE

After AT&T announced the availability of the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE on its own network, Verizon has followed suit. The carrier has announced that it is opening pre-orders for the fancy LG smartwatch, which will use Verizon Messages, which much like AT&T NumberSync, allows you to send texts and make calls from the watch using your phone’s number without the phone being nearby.

Strangely enough, where Verizon deviates is price. The full retail will be $499.99, and you’ll have to pay $449.99 with a two-year contract. You can get $100 off with the purchase of an LG G5 or LG V10. In comparison, AT&T’s version is $18 a month for 20 months with $0 down, totaling $360. You can also get it for $99.99 with the purchase of an LG G5.

Verizon also announced the LG K4 LTE, a budget Android device that runs on its LTE network. It features a 4.5-inch 854×480 resolution, a 1.1GHz quad-core processor, a 5MP rear cam and 2MP front cam, 16GB of memory with a microSD slot, a 1940mAh battery, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It’s only $5 per month for 24 months, or $120 full price.
