[CES2016] Mad Catz will be showing off Samsung device specific controllers

Published on Monday, 04 January 2016 17:05

Each year at CES we get to sit down with our friends at Mad Catz to check out their newest offerings for the mobile gaming world. Last year it was the L.Y.N.X series of controllers, which are rather cool indeed. This year they will have those available as well as some new mobile goodies in the form of controllers specifically designed for Samsung smartphones and tablets.

This whole project is part of Samsung's project called "Designed for Samsung" program. Through this program Mad Catz will be revealing and releasing controllers that are optimized for Samsung devices. Unfortunately Mad Catz hasn't gone into too much more details as exactly what this all entrails, what the controllers look like, or anything like that. All of that information will be available when we meet up with them this year as well.

This isn't all that Mad Catz will have at CES 2016. The company will also have their L.Y.N.X controllers on hand, their C.T.R.L.r. and S.U.R.F.r. as well. All of these feature Mad Catz GameSmart technology for mobile devices, which means they can be used on any Bluetooth enabled Android device as well as PCs. Mad Catz will also be over at the HTC booth where HTC will be showing off their Virtual Reality headset called the Vive.

You can expect us to get more details about the Samsung controllers, as well as the rest of Mad Catz mobile line-up this week.
