NetMarble has announced that they will be releasing a new side-scrolling platformer called Quickboy onto Android next month. This game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world with a steampunk theme to it as you take on the role of Tommy Hawk who needs to find his brother as well as save the world. We've contacted Tony Hawk to see if there is any relation between him and Tommy.

Quickboy has players controlling Tommy Hawk who has to make dangerous rounds of vital package deliveries in this newly ravaged world overrun with zombies while attempting to find and rescue his brother at the same time. Along the way you will run into additional characters, each with their own personalities, who will offer some guidance and support. However, the real help will come in the form of different drones that you will be able to build by collecting all the bolts and nuts that you come across. You'll also need to collect coins that your find as well.

There will be over 60 different stages to work your way through when the game launches. This includes the use of a jetpack at times which is always enjoyable. You will have to complete all of the quest-based missions that you get as well if you plan to actually find your brother and save the world. There will also be zombie killing that needs to be done.

When Quickboy lands on Google Play next month it will be available for download for free which means there will be optional IAPs available as well. In the meantime, you can check out the game in action in the video above.
