AT&T’s mobile insurance program is in open enrollment through March 31

Typically when you buy a new smartphone or tablet, you’ve got a limited period of time to buy insurance for it. If you’re an AT&T customer, though, you can now get insurance for device no matter how long ago you bought it.

AT&T is now hosting open enrollment for its mobile insurance program. The program is open to any smartphone or tablet that’s on an AT&T postpaid plan. The insurance program has three different tiers that you can choose from:

  • AT&T Mobile Insurance: The base program is $6.99 per month and covers loss, theft, accidental damage, and out-of-warranty malfunctions for a phone or tablet. You get two claims per consecutive 12-month period.
  • AT&T Mobile Protection Pack: Next up is the MPP, which is $9.99 per month and includes the standard Mobile Insurance program as well as technical assistant with “enhanced support” as well as the Mobile Locate app that’ll let you lock and erase a lost device.
  • AT&T Multi-Device Protection Pack: The MDPP is $29.99 per month and includes insurance, enhanced support, and the Mobile Locate app for three phones or tablets.

Open enrollment runs through March 31, so you’ve got about a month to decide if you’d like to add your smartphone or tablet to AT&T’s insurance program.
