Ambition of the Slimes is a new RPG now available for Android gamers in the West. The game itself isn't new but with the update that just pushed out on Friday which brought English to it, it is now available for everyone worldwide. The interesting thing about this game is that you actually play as a race of monsters, or Slimes to be more precise, and the enemy happens to be humans.
Usually in an RPG we play as humans, or the 'good guys', but in this one it is actually from the monster perspective. Humans have invaded the slime's land, polluting the air and water, burning down their forests, and eventually when they stumbled onto the race of slimes, the humans decided to wage war on them. Since slimes don't really have a way to fight, they pretty much were resigned to the fact that they were going to be wiped out. That is until the slimes realized, by accident, that they could take over the bodies of humans.
This game plays out like an RPG normally would but instead of being human you play as the slime who can take over the bodies of humans, which are their enemy, and use that to fight them off. The goal here is to get rid of all the humans in your land in order to return it to the once peaceful slime-filled world it once was. For example, players can take over an archer and you can use a bow and arrow, or take over a mage and you can use magic. You can even try to take over a merchant and sway your enemies with a bribe.
There are various types of slimes available as well and while all of them can take over humans, some of the slimes have additional special abilities such as teleporting or slimes that buff up a human's stats in order to make that human stronger. While that may seem counter-productive, after you buff up that human, you take it over and now you're in control of a powerful human body. Besides the unique gameplay Ambition of the Slimes has, this game also has a pretty unique visual style as well which you can't really see properly in the screenshots unfortunately.
Ambition of the Slimes is now available for everyone and can be picked up off of Google Play for free. It does contain IAPs as well should you want to take advantage of those.
