Android 5.0.1 released to AOSP, several factory images available now
Android 5.0 is still fairly early in its life, but Google has already prepped a newer flavor of Lollipop.
Android 5.0.1 hit AOSP tonight with the build number LRX22C in tow. Thankfully, if you’re obsessed with shiny new things like most of us here, you can already flash Android 5.0.1 to select Nexus devices; Google has posted the Android 5.0.1 factory images for the Nexus 7 (2013) Wi-Fi, Nexus 9 and Nexus 10.
Since Android 5.0.1 just hit AOSP a few hours ago, there’s no word yet on exactly what the new update includes. Considering that it’s an x.x.1 update, though, we’re betting that it’s mostly got some under-the-hood improvements.
If you decide to flash Android 5.0.1 to your Nexus device, be sure to tell us all about it!
