New Snapdragon 810 reference devices feature mind-blowing specs
Qualcomm is currently testing its next-gen processors, and the current stage involves releasing a pair of new reference devices that showcase the power of the new Snapdragon 810 processor. First up is the Snapdragon 810 MDP Smartphone that features a 6.2-inch QHD display, 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 Ultra HD processor, Adreno 430 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 32GB storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, 4-megapixel front-facing camera, 3020mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 technology. Also included is an ultrasound emitter, microSD card slot, microUSB 3.0, fingerprint scanner, and Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device is available to registered companies developing with Qualcomm and costs $799.
The second device is the Snadragon 810 MDP Tablet that packs a 10.1-inch 4K (3840×2160) display, 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 Ultra HD processor, Adreno 430 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, 4-megapixel front-facing camera, dual 3D IR gesture cameras, and a 7050mAh battery with Quick Charge technology. The tablet’s also go dual ultrasound emitters, a microSD card slot, microUSB 3.0, and Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device is available to registered companies developing with Qualcomm and costs $999.
Both devices feature specs lists that are far and beyond what we normally find. Unfortunately, consumers aren’t going to be able to get their hands on these devices, so we’ll just have to wait until similar devices make it to market. Both the MDP Smartphone and Tablet will ship to purchasers in December.
What do you think of the specs in these devices?
