Hulu for Android updated with free content

Hulu offers an impressive amount of ad-supported free content on their website, but if you want to watch it anywhere else, you’ll have to cough up the $7.99 a month for a Hulu Plus membership. Until now.

In an update pushed out to the Hulu for Android app today, Hulu has opened up their free content library to Android users giving them access to, “the latest and past episodes of popular current TV shows … Hulu Originals, Anime, Kids, Movies and Latino.” According to the blog post announcing the update, “the content available on the updated app will mirror the ad-supported Hulu.com with a few exceptions.”

Hulu’s move to open up its content library to Android users is clearly an attempt to convert free users to paid users, but it’s one no one can complain about. To grab the updated Hulu app, head on over to Google Play now.
