Android L Developer Preview now available for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013)

At the Google I/O keynote yesterday, Google announced that the Android L Developer Preview would be out today, and sure enough, it has arrived! The Android L Developer Preview factory images have been posted to the Android developer site for both the Nexus 5 and the 2013 Wi-Fi Nexus 7. For everyone else, sorry, but you’re going to have to wait this one out.

Android L brings a host of improvements to the Android OS, including a major visual overhaul, Project Volta to improve battery life and enhanced notifications. The update is solid, so if you have a Nexus 5 or Nexus 7, it might be worth the effort to flash it. For a great guide on flashing a factory image to your Nexus device, check out Droid Life’s guide. If you’re ready to go, just hit up the source link to download the SDK.

Once you get it up and running, let us know how you like it! Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to flash Android L.
