OPPO Find 7a pre-orders start April 7 with surprises in store

Those who have been eagerly waiting to get their hands on OPPO's later masterpiece need not wait much longer. Starting early next month, the Chinese manufacturer will be opening up pre-orders and will even be throwing in special promotions during the pre-sale period.

Following up on its popular N1 launch, OPPO last week revealed the Find 7, probably one of the more notable high-end smartphones coming from China. During launch, the manufacturer revealed two variants, the premium Find 7 version itself as well as the "standard" Find 7a version, which is what will be on pre-order in April.

Though not boasting the super high-end specs of the Find 7, the Find 7a can still hold its head high alongside other flagships this half of 2014. It includes hardware such as the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM897AB which, while running at a slightly lower 2.3 GHz, still has all the advantages of this latest processor iteration. It also has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The 5.5-inch display might not have 2K resolutions, but it is still enough for 1080p at 1920x1080 pixels. The battery is also lower, at 2,800 mAh, but the rapid charge feature might totally make up for that.

The OPPO Find 7a, like its premium sibling, will come in White and Midnight color options. It is expected to cost around $483 but OPPO is yet to disclose actual localized prizes. Those interested in being one of the first to get their hands on the limited first batch might want to keep tabs on the company's Facebook and Google+ page to keep abreast of the surprises that OPPO has prepared.
