If your game has the word Flappy in the title, it'll most likely be taken down

Interesting news today in what looks like a little bit of regulation by Google regarding the Google Play store, something that doesn't happen often unless it is about copyright infringement or hazardous apps and games. Apparently Google is taking down games with the word Flappy in the title.

This isn't just on Google Play either, Apple is also apparently doing the same thing with games on the iOS App Store. In regards to Apple, the company is doing this because it violates  the App Store Review Guidelines citing that games with the word Flappy in it "contain false, fraudulent or misleading representations". Google's stances is similar as well.

All of this is to stop the onslaught of Flappy Bird clones that have invaded both marketplaces, whether legit or maleware ridden ones. So if you have a game about to be released and plan on using the word Flappy in the title, you might want to reconsider that decision.
