HTC U11 Plus render leak teases design of the upcoming phablet

Heads up, phablet fans, because there may be a new flagship on the way that you’ll want to keep an eye out for.

A new report claims to have renders and details of the HTC U11 Plus. The renders come to us from @OnLeaks and Couponraja.in, and they’re based on factory schematics of the device.

In the renders, we can see that this HTC U11 Plus looks a lot like the HTC U11. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack, there’s a liquid glass backside, and there’s a single rear camera. The one noteworthy design change from the HTC U11 involves the fingerprint reader, which has been moved from the front of the U11 to the rear of the U11 Plus.

Today’s report also includes some spec details for the HTC U11 Plus. This device is said to have a larger display than the U11, packing a 6-inch Quad HD+ panel while the U11 has a 5.5-inch Quad HD screen. The HTC U11 Plus will also reportedly offer a Snapdragon 835 processor, variants with 4GB and 6GB of RAM, Boom Sound audio enhancements, and HTC’s Edge Sense feature that lets you squeeze the sides of your phone to perform an action.

These leaked specs suggest that the HTC U11 Plus won’t be hugely different from the HTC U11, which is good news for folks that’ve already picked up a U11. The bigger screen could appeal to phablet fans, especially those that already dig the liquid glass design of the U11.

There’s no word on when the HTC U11 Plus might be officially announced, but rumors have suggested that HTC is holding an event on November 2nd, so that’s one possibility.
