Google Pixel 2 XL appears in more leaked images, flaunts front-facing speakers
Hungry for some more Pixel 2 XL news before Google’s event on October 4? If so, the rumor mill is happy to provide.
Two high-quality images of the Google Pixel 2 XL have leaked out. Shared by @evleaks, the renders show the upcoming Pixel phablet both out of a case and in one, and there are some things to note about this device.
First up is the big difference between this Pixel 2 XL and the one that we saw a few months ago. This device appears to have dual front-facing speakers, a feature that was at one time thought to be exclusive to the smaller Pixel 2.

Also notable is the software on this device. This Pixel 2 XL looks to be running a different launcher than the one currently on Google’s Pixel phones. It looks like the redesigned Pixel Launcher that was spied at Google I/O back in May, with a Google Search bar in between the app dock and on-screen navigation buttons, which could make it easier to reach.
One other detail worth pointing out is the widget near the top of the display, which is shown some calendar and weather info.
The original Pixel XL had some large bezels above and below its display, and while the bezels on this Pixel 2 XL aren’t as slim as some other smartphones out there, they are smaller than the original Pixel XL. The upside here is that while the Pixel 2 XL’s bezels may be a bit thicker than some other flagships, you may get front-facing speakers to go with ‘em.
