AT&T’s LG G3 now receiving Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update

Android 5.0 Lollipop has been quite the star for several different handsets recently, with the update rolling out to more and more devices. That trend continues with AT&T’s LG G3, because according to several different owners out there, the brand new version of the platform is rolling out now.

According to a report published by Android Central that cites several of its forum members, the update for Android 5.0.1 Lollipop has officially begun to rollout to the LG G3 variant under AT&T’s banner. According to those who were able to download the update, the software measures in at 689.53MB. However, as noted in the original report, some users are reporting that they are seeing their Google Play Services freeze up after installing the newest software, so keep that in mind if you happen to own an AT&T LG G3.

At the end of January, LG confirmed that the Android 5.0 update would be landing on its G3 variants sometime “soon,” and it would appear that at least the start of that update process has begun.

If you own an AT&T G3, have you received the update yet?
