Santa Phil Contest Extravaganza Day 1: Win a OnePlus One!

We're going to kick off our six days of non-denominational, just-because-we-feel-like-it gift-giving with one of the year's most sought-after phones. And that's partially because the OnePlus One is a really good phone. It's also because you couldn't buy the damned thing (and mostly still can't) without "winning" the right to do so thanks to its annoying invite system. That's really no way to go through life.

The OnePlus One turned out to the one of the most affordable high-end phones of the year, thanks to its 5.5-inch, 1080p display, Snapdragon 801 CPU, 3GB of RAM and a 13MP camera. It's not perfect — it's too big for some, having optional (yes, really, optional) hardware buttons is just nuts, and the camera was a little disappointing. But it's also loaded with CyanogenMod, so the software will be up to date faster than many phones.
