Moto X+1 appears in official-looking renders

It’s likely that we’ll see Motorola officially unveil the new Moto X on September 4, but the good news for those of us that can’t wait that long is that the device appears to have just leaked.

Prolific leakster @evleaks has shared some images of a Verizon-branded Moto X+1. The device is shown in black and white, with the latter model sporting what looks to be an aluminum trim and wooden back. The X+1 seems to have the same basic design as the Moto X, but it appears to have adopted the Moto E’s front-facing speaker and also gotten itself a bigger rear camera. The software on this X+1 appears to be mostly stock Android.

While these images are still unofficial, they don’t look too far off from what we’d expect to see out of a Moto X+1. After all, the original Moto X was praised for its look and in-hand feel, so we’re sure that Motorola wouldn’t stray far from that design for the X+1. One complaint that many people did have about the OG X was its camera, and it looks like Motorola may have addressed that with this new unit.

Are you looking forward to the Moto X+1? What features will it need to pack in order for you to consider it a must-buy?
