OnePlus 5/5T receiving Android Pie update

In a special Christmas treat, OnePlus is now rolling out Android 9.0 Pie to OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T devices. Android Pie comes as part of OxygenOS 9.0.0, and a few other features are packed in as well. One notable change is that the OnePlus 5T is getting new navigation gestures, although this feature won’t be available for the OnePlus 5. Plus, the entire UI is getting a revamp as part of the update to Android Pie.

In addition to the UI updates, users will find Google Lens integrated into the camera, updated Do Not Disturb, and new text and third party call notifications during Gaming Mode. The latest Android security patches are also included, along with an array of minor improvements.

The update is starting its rollout today, but will take a couple days to reach most OnePlus 5/5T devices. Hold tight and drop a comment below when the update arrives for you!
