Google Assistant now shows predicted flight delays

Google Flights launched the ability to stay in the know of an expected flight delay earlier this year, and now the same feature is expanding to Google Assistant.

Google has revealed that predicted flight delays are now part of the Google Assistant bag of tricks. By using a combination of machine learning and historical flight status data, Google says it is 85 percent confident in its flight delay predictions. You can ask things like, “Hey Google, is my flight on time?” and stay up-to-date on what’s going on with your flight.

But that’s not all! Google loves to be proactive with the things Assistant can handle, and that’s no different with predicted flight delays, either. Google also confirmed that soon the Assistant will let you know on its own if the software has predicted an impending flight delay. And if Google knows the reason for the delay, it will share that information, too.

Google says Assistant’s proactive predictions will start rolling out over the next few weeks.
