Instagram is testing a new profile page

Instagram is working to make its profile page a bit easier to navigate, with several different iterations being considered.

The Facebook-owned social network officially unveiled the planned changes in a blog post on Wednesday. The company says it will be working on several different versions of the new profile page over the coming weeks, moving things around, changing icons and buttons, and more. There is no word on when the new profile page will officially launch to the public.

Instagram adds that it will also be testing changes to the way users navigate between tabs, which may make navigation on profile pages easier as well. Instagram does say that the grid of content on a profile page, where videos and photos are displayed, won’t be changing.

The company has already been hard at work on the changes for some time, and they will be rolling out in phases over the next several weeks. So if you see some tweaks to your profile page, just know that it’s some official tests and your page isn’t freaking out on you.
