Samsung’s Galaxy A7 (2018) features three rear cameras

The rumor mill is trying to paint a pretty clear picture for the Samsung Galaxy S10, one where the future flagship boasts three cameras on the back. And it looks like that might be a safer bet now.

Because today, Samsung has introduced its first smartphone with three cameras on the back, and it isn’t a flagship, high-end handset. This is the Galaxy A7 (2018), and it’s destined for markets in Asia and Europe. The most important feature on the new Galaxy A7 is the 24MP camera with autofocus, the secondary 5MP depth lens to handle bokeh effects, and the final 8MP wide-angle lens, each of which is positioned in a vertical fashion on the back panel.

Meanwhile, the new Galaxy A7 (2018) boasts a 6-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display, with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. There are many variants, two of which come with 4GB of RAM, and the last coming in with 6GB of RAM. There is one model with 64GB of built-in storage (and support for microSD cards up to 512GB), while the two other options offer 128GB of built-in storage.

The handset is running Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, it has a 3300mAh battery, NFC support for mobile payments, and it comes in a bright blue shade.

The new Galaxy A7 (2018) launches on October 11, but Samsung didn’t divulge any pricing at this point.
