Rugged devices are now included in Google’s Android Enterprise Recommended program

It has been several months since Google launched the Android Enterprise Recommended program, which is designed to offer up the best Android-based handsets for enterprise users.

Now Google is adding another type of device to the program. Moving forward, rugged devices can now be included, as long as they meet the other crucial requirements for a smartphone to be considered. According to Google, Android is likely to become the “largest rugged OS” in terms of shipments by the end of next year. As a result, supporting the expanding market makes sense.

The other key elements a rugged house andset will need to meet the requirements include Android 7.0 or higher, at least 16GB of built-in storage, a processor clocked in at 1.1GHz or faster, have a 32-bit architecture, and have at least 2GB of RAM. • Honeywell Dolphin CT40, Dolphin CT60 and Dolphin CN80
