Google updates Digital Wellbeing with new features, including icon in app drawer

Running Google’s Digital Wellbeing beta on your Android 9 Pie-powered Pixel phone? If so, there’s an update coming your way.

Google has announced an update to its Digital Wellbeing app that includes new features that ought to make using Digital Wellbeing a bit easier. For starters, the update will let you add an icon to your app drawer for quick access to Digital Wellness. There’s also a new Grayscale toggle that you can add to your Quick Settings.

Here are all the new features included in this Digital Wellbeing app update:

  • You can add an icon to your apps list for quick access
  • Edit your Quick Settings to add a Grayscale tile by tapping on the Quick Settings edit icon
  • New link to Night Light schedule on the Wind Down page
  • Visual improvements to the dashboard

Digital Wellbeing is still in beta, and so it’s good to see Google continuing to improve the app and make it better and easier to use. If you’re using Digital Wellbeing, be on the lookout for this update!
