Verizon names Indianapolis as fourth 5G broadband city, will give subscribers free YouTube TV or Apple TV 4K

Less than one month after Verizon said that it plans to bring its 5G broadband to Houston, the big red carrier has revealed another 5G city.

Verizon will launch its 5G residential broadband in Indianapolis in the second half of 2018. Customers who sign up will get to choose either a free YouTube TV subscription or a free Apple TV 4K set-top box, says The Verge.

Indianapolis is the fourth U.S. city that Verizon has said will get its 5G broadband in 2018. The other three cities are Sacramento, Los Angeles, and Houston.

It’s worth noting that what Verizon is launching this year is 5G residential broadband, not 5G mobile service. That mobile service won’t be too far behind, though, as Verizon has said that it plans to launch mobile 5G in 2019.
