Qualcomm smartwatch event happening September 10

This is turning out to be a big week for smartwatch fans. One day after Fossil introduced some new Wear OS watches, Qualcomm is teasing a smartwatch-focused event.

Qualcomm today sent out invitations for an event on September 10. The invitation includes an image of a watch along with the phrases “It’s Time.” and “set your watches”, all of which suggests that this’ll be a smartwatch-focused event.

As for what’ll be announced at this event, we’ll just have to wait for September 10th to roll out to find out. It’s entirely possible that Qualcomm will announce a new Snapdragon Wear processor for smartwatches, especially since the Snapdragon Wear 2100 is starting to get a bit long in the tooth.
