Instagram testing Recommended Posts at the end of your feed

Instagram is testing a new feature called Recommended Posts. The mere mention of this will likely frustrate users. It sounds exactly like another ad strategy. But keep reading!

Instagram will now show some users recommendations on content it thinks you may enjoy. The key part is that this will only occur after you’ve reached the end of your feed and the new “You’re all caught up!” message appears. You can either press a button to view past posts or keep scrolling for recommended content, which will have a follow button near it if you’re interested in seeing more.

Considering that this won’t interrupt your normal Instagram usage, this feature seems like a great addition without hassle or added pushy advertisement. This feature is only a test at the moment and will roll out to users in the next few days. Let us know what you think of recommended posts!
