ASUS ZenFone Live and ZenFone 5Z launch in the U.S.

ASUS today launched two new Android phones in the U.S.

First up is the ASUS ZenFone Live, an Android Oreo (Go edition) device. This entry-level unlocked Android phone is now available from Best Buy at a price of $109.99. It’s packing a 5.5-inch HD display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, and GSM support, which means it works with carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S.

Inside the ZenFone Live’s shell is a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage. ASUS has thrown a microSD card slot in, too, case you need additional storage. There’s a 3000mAh battery powering the whole package, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM slots, and an FM radio app.

If you’re looking for something a little higher-end the ASUS ZenFone 5Z is now available from Amazon. It’s got a 6.2-inch 2246×1080 display with a notch, octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor, and a dual rear camera setup with 12MP and 8MP rear cameras. The 12MP camera is a Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, real-time portrait mode, and real-time beautification, while the 8MP secondary camera is a 120-degree wide angle lens.

Also included with the ASUS ZenFone 5Z is 6GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage, a microSD slot, and dual SIM slots. ASUS added a rear fingerprint reader and face unlock for added security, NFC, FM radio, and a 3300mAh battery with BoostMaster fast charging support. Rounding things out are dual speakers and Android Oreo.

The ASUS ZenFone 5Z is being sold unlocked and is compatible with GSM networks.
