T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and S8 Active receiving Oreo update

T-Mobile is now pushing the Android 8.0 Oreo update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. The carrier announced the update on Friday, March 30, stating that the goal was for the update to be sent out on Sunday, April 1. Though the update is a day late, it’s good to have it out there. T-Mobile customers were a tad upset that the three other major carriers had already pushed out Oreo updates, while T-Mobile had yet to make an announcement.

Oreo is packed with plenty of goodies including faster boot times, battery life improvements, and increased security. There are also handy new features, such as Picture-in-Picture, which allows you to run a compatible app in a smaller window over another app, and notification dots, which can allow you to see notification previews by simply tapping the dot in the corner of an app icon.
