Xiaomi Mi Note 3 features 5.5-inch display and dual rear cameras

Xiaomi didn’t stop with just the new Mi Mix 2, because today it also introduced a brand new member of its Mi Note lineup.

Meet the Mi Note 3, which features a worthwhile combination of flagship phone features mixed in with plenty of mid-range specs to help reduce the cost of the handset. First and foremost, the Mi Note 3 features a 5.5-inch display, 6GB of RAM, either 64GB of 128GB of built-in storage, and a 3500mAh battery.

Around back, there’s a pair of 12-megapixel cameras, one with a wide-angle lens and the other with a telephoto lens. One of the major bullet points for the Mi Note 3 is the 16-megapixel front camera, which Xiaomi says features an “Adaptable AI Beautify Mode.” The company notes this feature will not tarnish the quality of the image while adding a “realistic beauty effect” to the person in the picture.

The Mi Note 3 also has a fingerprint sensor, a four-sided curved glass display, and a 7-series aluminum alloy metal frame. It’s priced beginning at RMB 2499 (~$385) for the 64GB model, while the 128GB variant costs RMB 2899 (~$445). A special blue variant with 128GB of built-in storage will run RMB 2999 (~$460).

No word on a release date or regional availability just yet, but that should be revealed soon.
