Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs rumored to include 6.3-inch display, two 12MP rear cameras

Many parts of the oft-rumored Galaxy Note 8 from Samsung have already been revealed. We’ve seen the pair of rear cameras on the back of the upcoming smartphone, for example. But a new report from VentureBeat aims to cover all the bases ahead of the phone’s arrival.

First and foremost, the QHD+ display will measure in at 6.3 inches and will have a resolution of 1440×2960. The corners of the handset will be squared off, even as it features the Infinity Display made famous with the Galaxy S8 earlier this year, so that it will hold onto that Galaxy Note family aesthetic. It will measure in at only 8.5mm thick, and in the U.S. variants there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood, while international models will feature Samsung’s Exynos 8895 chipset.

The Galaxy Note 8 is apparently going to feature 6GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot for expandable storage, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 support, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, andwireless charging. The battery will measure in at 3300mAh.

Finally, on the back of the phone, there will be a pair of 12MP cameras. The primary camera will have an aperture of f/1.7, while the secondary camera is a telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.4 and 2x optical zoom. Both cameras on the back will boast optical image stabilization as well. The front-facing camera will be an 8MP shooter.

We are just kicking off August, and Samsung plans on announcing the Galaxy Note 8 on the 23rd, so we don’t have long to wait before the newest phablet is officially official. Do you plan on picking one up as soon as you can?
