Google Contacts now available for all devices running Android 5.0 and up

Google is making it easier for Android device owners to use the official Google Contacts app to keep their contact list tidy.

As noted by Android Police, the update to version 2.1.2.164543808 brings Google Contacts to many more devices. Up until this point, the official app was only available on Google Play Edition, Nexus, Pixel, and Android One devices running Android 5.0 and up.

That latter requirement is still the case with the Contacts update, but Google is expanding the app’s availability quite a bit. Now anyone using a device running Android 5.0 Lollipop and up can download the Google Contacts app from the Play Store.

The latest update to Google Contacts is available now, so you can download it if you don’t already have the app on your phone.
