Samsung Galaxy S5 now receiving Marshmallow in South Korea

The Samsung Galaxy S5 may be two years old now, but Samsung is not ending support for the device yet. The South Korean unlocked Galaxy S5 on the LG Uplus network is now getting Marshmallow.

The update brings the latest version of Android currently available, which includes great features like Doze mode, Google Now on Tap, and plenty of other improvements both in speed and functionality. Also included is an updated version of TouchWiz.

While an update local to South Korea isn’t important to most of us, it shows that Samsung is still supporting the Galaxy S5 and that the update is pretty much ready for the phone. It just needs localization and region specific changes, so we might see it in the US soon.
