The other day we reported on the news that MMORPG for PC called Tera Online would be getting a mobile version released here in the West. As it turns out, there is actually a version of that game in Korea already, having been out for almost a year now. That is, of course, if the game in Korea is the same game planned for release here.

Since the two companies involved are the same, that being Nexon and Bluehole, the chances are that the one in Korea is the same one. With that said, we will go forward for right now under that information, which means the Tera Online for mobile devices announced the other day that is coming to the West is a side-scrolling MMORPG. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but anyone expected an MMORPG similar to an open-world style might be a tad disappointed.

We've found some images and even a video of the game in Korea, and even though it is a side-scroller, at least in combat, it still looks pretty good. The visuals are all 3D still, and there are plenty of effects when casting spells and in combat. So visually, the game looks quite good. However the side-scrolling aspect of the game might not be what some of you were hoping.

We've reached out to Nexon and Bluehole to get confirmation as to whether or not this is indeed the game we can expect to arrive when Tera Online for mobile hits the Western market.

Thanks to Phoenixblue for the tip!
